Now that you've met our hair nutrition and strengthening tip, let's explain what this so-called twist braid is all about. This technique is also well known as marley twists, and it's the act of twisting two strands of hair around each other, making a big braid. In this technique, you can braid a natural lock of hair around a synthetic one, to ensure a more voluminous effect.

It is ideal for those who are going through the capillary transition, as this technique is able to disguise the hair that has several textures at the same time. As funny as it sounds, the twist braid is not really a braid, as it only uses two strands, and this is one of the things that most differs from box braids, for example. If you are part of the team of the rushed ones, know that the production time of a twist braid is much less than any other type of worked braid.

How to make twist braid?

We'll show you how to do a twist braid at home.

The twist braid may be the fastest braid to make, but it still takes some time and patience. The ideal is that you look for a specialist to do it, but if you want, just buy the material called "marley" on the internet, or hair care store in your city, and log on to our tutorial:

Step by step:

First remember to keep your hair sanitized before the entire process. The strands of synthetic hair you'll buy will likely come in a standard shape, but you have the option to cut it to any length you like. With your fingers, simply separate a lock of hair at the nape of the neck, with a minimum length of 2.5 cm.

You will split this strand into two parts, align them and curl to the right with your fingertips. After curling the strands, you will align the marley hair extension in the middle of the natural strands of hair, and continue curling them as before, until the extension attaches to the rest of the hair.

Once the strand is twisted, simply wrap one around the other, and continue twisting it with your fingers to the right, down and forward until it can't come loose easily. Now the process will be your choice, you can continue curling until the end, but if you prefer, you can leave the synthetic hair without natural ends.

As I said, this process will require patience, as the application time can reach up to 6 hours, but it will all depend on the size of the locks of hair. After "braiding" all the hair, boil some water and place the ends of the hair inside so that the cuticles close.
